Keep God First

devotional
Hi Family,
Don’t forget to start your mornings with Jesus. If God is not your first thought, make Him your priority. Get your mind and heart on the right track as soon as you notice that your thoughts are not of Him. Sometimes it is easier to wake up with the burdens, doubts, and problems from yesterday, but God is saying that today is a new day. A day to start to over and to allow him to carry all of what you know deep down you cannot carry on your own. Let God take the first place in your life, start your day right, with Him in mind.

Bible Verses:

They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. -Lamentations 3:23

This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118:24

for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again… -Proverbs 24:16 (Every day is a new day! Though I fall, I will rise again!)

A few things I love to do that might help you.

1. I start my dad thanking God for all that he has done. (Gratitude is always a beautiful start as our problems tend to succumb our thoughts. That is when we feel we have no way out, but if we start with a heart full of gratitude for what we already have, and what we know that God as our Heavenly Father will do, our today will begin to be much brighter than it was yesterday. God is always there and always wants to bless us.)

2. I get worship music on and allow God’s presence to dwell in my heart, thoughts, and surround my home. (Worship music sets the atmosphere in your home, place of work, or where ever you are. Don’t miss out on the blessings that come with listening to worship music and in turn worshipping Jesus as well.)

3. I start reading the wordI use the Bible App for guided prayers and with an alarm, I am reminded everyday to pray and read the word.

Habits take time to form, so don’t feel bad if you feel lost in your relationship with God. This journey is hard for us all, as none of us are perfect and we all need Jesus more and more.

I am praying for each and everyone one of you today. That God may cancel out distractions and keep you all concentrated on His immense love for you.

God bless you all so much!
