Illness can make us feel weak, limited, and even forgotten. It reminds us of our human frailty and often stirs fear about the future. But Jesus meets us in our weakness with His healing presence and sustaining strength.
When the woman in Mark 5 had been suffering for twelve years, she pressed through the crowd just to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. Immediately, her faith met His power, and she was healed. Jesus turned to her and said, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
Choosing Jesus over illness doesn’t always mean instant physical healing—it means trusting Him as the Healer of our bodies, minds, and hearts. It means resting in His promise that His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Prayer:
Lord, I bring my weakness and illness before You. Where my body feels frail, strengthen me. Where my spirit feels weary, renew me. Thank You that nothing is beyond Your touch. Help me to trust You in every step, knowing You are my Healer and my peace. Amen.
