Have you ever thought about living a life with the Holy Spirit and what that entails? Did you know that when Jesus died on the cross, He left us the Holy Spirit to lean on and be our guide? Let’s dive in, shall we?
In this journey God has taught me so much more than I could’ve ever imagined. I have learned that there were so many things in my life that I was not surrendering to God. I learned that in my moments of frustrations and disappointments, though I prayed to the Lord, I never truly surrendered all of me to Him. Have you ever caught yourself praying for something and leaving something(s) out purposely because there are areas that you don’t even want to speak about with God? Sounds silly right? We have an all-knowing God that knows us more than we know ourselves, yet we feel that there are areas that we can just hide from Him. I was choosing the areas that God could control and the areas that He could not. In business, God has been my instructor. With Him I learned that Galilee Life was a ministry business created to bring Him glory and help others learn more about Him. God taught me that being right with Him would make every other part of my life right too. I have learned that navigating life in intimacy with Him first, leads to a life of all around success. I equate intimacy to a secret place, time alone and away with Jesus, but intimacy without surrender, it is just prayer. Prayer is powerful but surrendering means that you have left your intimate time with God and your beautiful conversation with our Father in heaven, ready to implement all that He is teaching you. Surrendering to me meant killing my wants, needs, and desires and giving God the full authority to do as He pleased. It feels so liberating once we learn and understand how to do this. When God takes over, we have nothing to worry about. He literally began to take my worries away, one by one until I couldn’t recall that I used to worry about a specific situation in my life. Surrendering all areas of our lives is not easy, and often it is hard to do, but we have strength through Christ Jesus to do all things. As we are intimate with our Father in prayer and reading of the word, He ignites something in us to seek Him fervently, earnestly, in spirit and in truth. Allowing us to be vulnerably naked in His sight and ready to be molded and guided by Him. I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit in our lives. In the Bible it states that Jesus left the Holy Spirit to be our helper and to teach us the things that we find difficult and almost impossible to navigate. Very early on in business I suffered a lot. I wanted things to go one way and I prayed, and I had no idea why God wasn’t answering me the way I thought He should. The more I got intimate with Christ, the more I felt the Holy Spirit guide me and ultimately lead my life into a healthier path. I began to seek God about every decision. No decision was ever too small. God taught me that He cares about every little thing in my life, so much that He doesn’t call them small. All of me is so important to Him. Just remember continuously that all pertaining you is so important to Him.When we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us wholeheartedly and give Him the authority to take over every inch of our lives, we no longer see an imbalance. Where one area of our lives is going one way, and another area in a different way. That is what happened to me. I continuously asked God why this or that, and I never sat down to analyze myself and my actions. To search within me and truly understand what was causing an impediment to understand my purpose and why God placed me where He did. I would think that God wasn’t listening or that maybe my life was not meant to go a certain way, but it was ME! I had made up my mind about certain things and situations in my life. I didn’t seek the Holy Spirit for advice, and I didn’t allow Him to teach me all that I needed to learn in the current stage of my life, to be able to move to the next one. There is such freedom and joy when you feel the Holy Spirit as you wake up in the morning, and when you do your daily tasks. There’s never a moment where I feel alone, even in what the natural eye would see as an empty space, spiritually I know that God is there and that His presence is all over. The atmosphere changes when we allow God to abide in us daily. My prayer is that as I continue to grow spiritually, that you all do as well. I pray that God reveals Himself in your lives like never before and that He instills a love and a desire to seek Him more and more. A way to practice understanding what the Holy Spirit wants of you is to seek God in prayer and with all your heart ask Him to penetrate the deepest parts of your soul and give you an incomparable love for Him that you have never felt before. Ask God to give you the strategies to surrender every single area of your life. He can and will do it. Bible Verses: “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” –John 14:25-26 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” –James 4:8 Thank you Jesus! –Neivis Paulino, Founder of Galilee Life |
